Every Black Horse Inn wedding is special, and we love sharing them here on our blog. One recent wedding was that of Lisa and Rick. Over the Labor Day weekend, these two had a beautiful wedding, where the focus was on family and friends.
The long weekend allowed them to have a three-day celebration, including a Sunday wedding. The festivities kicked off on Saturday, and as guests arrived they were invited to play a variety of games and enjoy a special “Hunt Country Tea” of sherry, port, and hors d’oeuvres. This was followed by a fabulous Boston-themed rehearsal dinner on the Garden Terrace.
Of course, the main event was the wedding itself. Lisa and Rick’s afternoon wedding was a truly wonderful thing, and the couple’s love of their family and friends shone through. They were even able to include their beloved dogs! After a touching ceremony, the guests were treated to a cocktail hour on the Garden Terrace while the couple was photographed.
The reception carried on the good feelings and after the newlyweds were announced, they had their first dance. This was followed by a blessing and a delicious meal, a gorgeous cake, and lots of fun!
Lisa and Rick’s wedding weekend concluded Monday morning with a brunch for the guests staying at the Black Horse Inn.
Of course, the Black Horse Inn is the perfect choice for many styles of Virginia wedding. To find out more about booking your wedding here, give us a call today!
