A few weeks ago, we were happy be the location of choice for Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Alexander’s “mini moon.” The couple were part of a great trend and had a romantic weekend together after their wedding.
The idea of a mini-moon is that the newlyweds have a short getaway right after their wedding. The full honeymoon is put off to a time that’s more convenient.
For the Alexanders, who were married on May 25th, the choice was obvious. They stayed at the Black Horse Inn and took advantage of the “Days of Wine and Roses” Virginia wine lovers tour package.
Along with the fabulous room here, where they had an arrangement of red roses waiting for them on arrival, they were treated to a wine tour in a chauffeured sedan. The package also included a $50 gift certificate for the fantastic Iron Bridge Restaurant. After dinner, they returned to a delicious cookie night cap tray!
The Alexanders will go on their “real honeymoon” to New Zealand. Their advice to other couples planning their wedding: Go to a venue like the Black Horse Inn, that offers wedding planning and day-of coordination as part of their package. It lessens the stress factor the week before the wedding–so that you can actually enjoy your big day.
